According to some sources, one day De Monte’s son got died due to some unknown reason and this trauma led De Monte’s wife to death. Soon after her death, De Monte also left his mortal abode. 2. Madras Christian College

Madras Christian College in Chennai is one such spooky place. According to the sources, it’s been said that one of the student of this college committed suicide in one of the dormitories of Heber’s hall. It is believed that the spirit of that student still haunts this place. Many people have reported hearing running taps on their own, windows opening on their own, lights flickering during the night and what chill your spine are the murmurings and lots of haunted things. Some people even have experienced the presence of that student’s spirit. 3. Broken Bridge

Evident to its name this half surviving bridge is deserted and abandoned in its appearance. The place mostly used for cinema shoots during the day time. People also like to do photography in the morning during the sunrise hours. The place which is crowded during the day becomes freaky as the sun sets. It is believed that during the night hours the place gets filled with the presence of maligned spirits that wanders on that bridge during night hours.
4. Besant Avenue Road
The calm and peaceful the Besant Avenue Road in Chennai is among the major road of the city. According to people of Chennai, the presence of spirits is not only experience during dusk time but can also experience during the day time also. According to the people who travel through that road says that they are tortured and overthrown by some unknown presence. People who passes from here are strictly advised to not to visits this place after its gets darker. As with each passing hour the road starts getting creepier and freakier.
5. Valmiki Nagar
There is a house in Valmiki Nagar which is possessed by the spirit of that house owner. Listed among the most haunted places of Chennai, this house of Valmiki Nagar has been empty from last 11 years ever since from the death of the owner’s daughter. Many people have reported that they have heard a girl crying and sobbing here in the house during the midnight. If we believed the sources, two people have once borrowed this house to conduct the investigation and ended up by possessing the evil spirit of the girl. Later they were exorcised. During the night time, people can hear screaming, crying here and even the doors the house opens itself. Freaky, right?
